Powder coating is an advanced, environmentally safe method of applying color to metals using static electricity. The powder paint contains no solvents to pollute the air and the over-spray is reused. The application is simple. The metal surface to be coated is hung on a conveyor using either a hook or by a racking system. As the part moves along on the conveyor it will first enter our 5-stage washer systems that thoroughtly cleanses the part. Next, the part will travel into our powder booth where our applicators will apply a fine, dry powder to the metal surface. As the powder leaves the spray gun it becomes charged with static electricity. Thus, the charge attracts the powder to the metal surface. From the powder booth the part moves directly into our oven where it is baked at 400 degrees. The powder liquefies and adheres to the metal surface. Once out of the oven the part has a durable finish with no runs or drips.
